Bringing joy to hard places.
Welcome to my digital home. My hope is that you will find a little bit of joy scattered within these pages to help you move forward when the hard places of life come knocking
As a chaplain for the past 10 years, I've merged my twin passions of writing and caring for people after my own grief journey opened my eyes to an essential truth: joy can coexist with sorrow. I invite you to explore these pages, where you'll find insights and practical guidance on discovering moments of light within life's challenges.

A daughter’s dance.
A mother’s tribute.
A chaplain’s insight.
My work in progress...
Since the loss of my 19 year-old-daughter Amy, I have been trying to unwrap my pain as a mother. The further away I get the harder it becomes. How do I move through the pain when everyone expects me to move on?
Words are my love language, so writing became a natural and revealing healing source.
Hidden amongst my grief I discovered a trail of joy within my daughter’s words and actions. Utilising my chaplaincy skills I have built a bridge between my own emotions and my daughter’s actions to pen a toolkit of life lessons.
An insightful guide for those who want to unwrap the gap between joy and sorrow after the loss of a loved one.
Coming to you soon - My goal is to get my daughter’s legacy project out into the world to as many people as possible. I am actively preparing to do this myself in 2025/2026, but might be persuaded to publish traditionally if the right opportunity came along.
